The tip
A few years ago, I was determined to turn flossing into a habit. Then I remembered a simple tip my friend’s dentist gave her: buy a bag of floss picks and keep them in your car. You’re in there every day anyway—make it part of the routine.
PickPod began with a bag of floss picks, a daily drive, and one obvious problem: there was nowhere clean to put the picks after using them.
I started flossing in my car, but I kept leaving used floss picks in cupholders, door pockets, and random places. I realized there wasn’t a simple way to keep clean picks accessible while also having a place to dispose of used ones.
That’s what led to PickPod.

I borrowed that advice, and it worked. I finally started flossing consistently—but used picks began collecting in cupholders, door pockets, and random places. Clean and used picks mixed together. It was scattered, inconvenient, and kind of gross.
I looked for something that kept clean picks accessible and gave used picks a separate place to go. Nothing existed, so I built it. PickPod was created to solve the mess while making flossing more convenient and consistent.
I’ve used PickPod for a while now, and having floss picks within reach has helped me floss more consistently while keeping my space clean.
One clean pick. One place for the used one. One habit that lasts.
